Conference on "The Analysis and Evaluation of the Verification Cycle, Follow-up and Accreditation of the Andalusian official Bachelor and Master University Degrees (2009-2016)"
Since the quality assurance evaluation processes of university degrees were initiated in 2009 as a consequence of the implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), 1147 Andalusian public universities official degrees requests have been evaluated for verification, 398 Bachelor and 749 Masters.The meeting hosted by the Andalusian Knowledge Agency Direction for Evaluation and Accreditation (DEVA-AAC)-ascribed to the regional Ministry of Knowledge, Research and University-, attended nearly a hundred of participants expert in Quality Assurance and Accreditation from several national and international Universities and Quality Assurance Agencies, as well as academic, research, technical and public administration staff usually involved in the Quality Assurance processes.
The aim of the conference is the analysis of the activities accomplished by all the Andalusian Higher Education System agents for about 8 years, since the verification and evaluation processes were implemented in Andalusia in 2009.
This common background "has provided not only a special relevance to the Higher Education Quality Assurance procedures, but has also allowed the european recognition of our degrees and the professional activities related to them", has mentioned the DEVA-AAC Secretary General, who attended the opening conference with the DEVA Director.
The session has been organised regarding four essential topics: the evaluation cycle, the evaluation for verification, the Follow-up assessment and the evaluation for the accreditation renewal. The panel discussions organised on these topics debated on the issues related to the evaluation processes and outcomes of the Andalusian Bachelor and Master degrees. Finally, conclusions were presented at the end of the conference.
