Recognition of Universities and University Centers
RD 640/2021, of July 27, on the creation, recognition and authorization of Universities and university centers, and institutional accreditation of university centers, establishes the basic requirements for the creation of public Universities and the recognition of private Universities, as well as for the creation and recognition of university centers.
ACCUA prepares reports on an optional and non-binding basis as established in article 7 d) of its Statutes. The evaluation criteria and evidence that are evaluated in the application evaluation process are established in the “Evaluation Guide for the Recognition of Universities and University Centers.” These evaluation criteria are subject to the principles of the European Higher Education Area.
