Accreditation of foreign languages skills
Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the Andalusian universities and ACCUA have developed a ‘Procedure for the certification of foreign language proficiency levels in Andalusian universities’, which allows universities to structure and assess foreign language proficiency tests using the same criteria.
The procedure for certification, monitoring and renewal is set out in the Guide for the accreditation of the procedure for the certification of foreign language proficiency levels in Andalusian universities.
The university shall submit a report on the procedure implemented and an analysis of the results after at least one complete cycle of implementation of the procedure (whereby a cycle of implementation is understood to be the process that begins with the publication of the examination announcement and ends with the awarding of the degrees). If the evaluation report is favourable, ACCUA will grant accreditation of the procedure for a maximum period of six years, although it will be mandatory to send a follow-up self-report every three years. The university must apply to ACCUA for renewal of accreditation before the end of the six-year accreditation period.
