The Regional Minister of University, Research and Innovation visits the facilities of the Directorate for Evaluation and Accreditation (DEVA) of the Andalusian Agency of Knowledge

The new Minister of University, Research and Innovation has visited the DEVA facilities in Córdoba. DEVA is the body responsible for external quality assurance of the Andalusian university system and for the evaluation of Andalusian R&D&I, performing its activity autonomously and independently.

During the tour, Gómez Villamandos was accompanied by the Andalusian Government Delegate in Córdoba, Adolfo Molina Rascón, by the Territorial Delegate for Educational Development and Vocational Training and University, Research and Innovation, José Francisco Viso Sánchez, and by the Director of Evaluation and Accreditation, Sebastián Chávez de Diego. The Regional Minister had the opportunity to meet all DEVA staff and held a meeting with the management team, which informed him of the achievements made in recent years, the ongoing evaluation activities and the needs for DEVA’s optimal operation. The process of transforming DEVA into the Andalusian Agency for Scientific and University Quality (ACCUA), already approved by law of the Andalusian Parliament and expected to be operational in the near future, was also analysed.
